Rice is one of the major crops in Liberia and is a favorite of the Liberian diet. The green revolution resulted in the development of new varieties of rice with higher yields and adaptability to different environments. By multiplying the best seed varieties and providing them to our communities, our member farming communities are able to produce higher yielding crops.

By providing new and repaired power tillers, we better prepare communities for rice paddy planting, allowing them to greatly increase the size of their farms compared to those tilled by hand.

We also plan on purchasing and testing mechanical rice harvesters and threshers which we hope will allow our rice farming communities to harvest their crops more quickly which allows for increased production.
